Dr. Jonathan Cohen is a highly trained, gentle, and compassionate maxillofacial surgeon providing advanced surgical care to patients in Stamford and surrounding communities–including Westchester and Fairfield County, Greenwich, New Canaan, and Darien, Connecticut. He specializes in oral surgical procedures such as wisdom tooth removal, dental implant placement, and complex tooth extractions—helping patients relieve oral pain or discomfort and restore function with precision and care.

Dr. Cohen earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry, graduating with multiple honors. He then completed a General Practice Residency at North Shore LIJ, where he gained extensive clinical experience across restorative dentistry, implantology, and oral surgery.

ABOUT DR. JONATHAN COHEN

Dr. Cohen completed five years of advanced residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and University Hospital, a Level One Trauma Center in Newark, New Jersey. During his final year, he served as Chief Resident—performing complex surgical procedures while also training dental students and residents.

He is known for combining advanced surgical skill with a calm, patient-focused approach. Recognized twice with the Patient Advocacy Award, Dr. Cohen is especially valued for his ability to put patients at ease and provide a comfortable, reassuring experience—even for those undergoing more complex procedures.
